By Max Freedman It's easy to forget that Lindsey Jordan, the frontwoman of revered Baltimore indie-rock band Snail Mail, was a teen at her breakout moment, but she reminds you in the most subtle way. “I was really overwhelmed by a lot of decisions that I had to make,” she tells MTV News about the months leading up to her career-making debut album, 2018's Lush, "I was tweeting, maintains a constant social media presence, and recruits a large team.” Non-musicians may not comprehend: As she legally became an adult, Jordan had to make those choices right. It's been a long hunt for the ever-elusive "bop" as a result of the hunt. Playlists and streaming-service recommendations can only do so much. They often leave a lingering question: Are these songs really good, or are they just new? The MTV News team's hand-picked collection of songs is available at Bop Shop. This weekly collection does not discriminate by genre and can include anything; it's a glimpse at what's on our minds and what sounds good. With the latest music, we'll keep it fresh, but we'll probably get a few oldies (but goodies) every once in a while. Get ready: The Bop Shop is now open for business.
