Personal life

Kritzer married musical director Vadim Feichtner at New York City Center on February 22, 2013. The couple met at NYU and began dating after the final performance of the Encores! production of On the Town in 2008, in which Kritzer starred. The two have worked together on multiple productions since.

Life and career

Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer was born in Manhattan and raised in Livingston, New Jersey. Her father is Jewish, and her mother is of Puerto Rican ancestry. Kritzer was raised Catholic. She attended Livingston High School, graduating in 1995. Shelly and in Legally Blonde as Serena, a 1999 graduate of the University of Cincinnati – College-Conservatory of Music. She appeared in The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Bat Boy, and Godspell, off-Broadway, and her regional credits include Vanities (Kathy), Babes in Arms (Baby Rose), and both Grease (Rizzo) and Funny Girl (Fanny) at Paper Mill Playhouse, as well as Vanities (Baby Rose).

Patti LuPone at Les Mouches, a revival of Patti LuPone's legendary nightclub appearance, starred Kritzer. Ben Rimalower created and directed the show premiere at Joe's Pub. For her role as Serena in Legally Blonde, she received a 2006 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical, as well as a 2007 Special Achievement MAC Award for her performance Leslie Kritzer Is Patti LuPone at Les Mouches.

In A Catered Affair, Kritzer played Janey Hurley, the character created by Debbie Reynolds in the 1956 feature film of the same name. From March 2008 to July 27, 2008, A Catered Affair appeared on Broadway.

On March 19, 2010, a limited engagement performance by the Roundabout Theatre Company opened on Broadway at Studio 54 in previews and concluded on June 13, 2010. It was planned by James Lapine, who produced Stephen Sondheim's revue of music.

Kritzer appeared in two Off-Broadway productions from 2005 to 2016. She appeared in Gigantic, the Vineyard Theatre's production, which opened on December 3, 2015. In 2014, Kritzer appeared in a workshop of the musical for the first time.

Delia Schlimmer and Miss Argentina, the musical version of Beetlejuice performed in Washington, D.C., in October 2018, before moving to the Winter Garden Theatre on Broadway in April, beginning with previews in March and opening in April. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the production came to a stop on March 10, 2020. Beetlejuice would reopen on Broadway in September 2021, at the Marquis Theatre in March 2022. Delia, Kritzer, has returned to the United States.
