www.dailymail.co.uk, May 17, 2023
The Actors' Equity Association said in a press release on Tuesday that lawyers representing the owners of the Star Garden Topless Dive Bar voluntarily acknowledged the union and started bargaining within a month. On Thursday, a formal union vote among the 19 eligible dancers will be counted. The National Labor Relations Board had previously ruled that the bar had breached labor legislation by dismissing three strippers and locking out more than a dozen others who had sparked questions about their health and safety at the bar.
