When searching the Huon River near Franklin, Tasmania, in April 2022, the divers (left) were searching for the remains of Nicola 'Nick' Sallese, 69 (top right). Mr Sallese vanished with his silver Toyota Camry in November 17, 2008, causing his family to employ the divers to look for his body. The independent divers were part of a group that found Dale Nicholson, 61 (bottom right), in a submerged vehicle in the River Derwent on Monday, six years since he disappeared from New Norfolk, north of Hobart, on December 10, 2016. Footage from Mr Sallese's previous expedition in Huon River has since surfaced, showing Mr Sallese's son Jason filming the tense hunt for his father.

After divers who support families in cold cases discovered their remains inside a submerged car, a man who went missing more than six years ago was discovered. Dale Nicholson, 61, vanished on December 10, 2016 after speaking with a friend on the phone in the afternoon.
