As considering their backgrounds, Friends actor Lisa Kudrow addressed the lack of diversity on the show's foundations, saying that the show's writers, David Crane and Marta Kauffman, had 'no corporate writing stories about the benefits of being a person of color.' In a story with The Daily Beast on Wednesday, the 59-year-old actress discussed the issue in a story more than two years after she said that the show had no representation in the series's ten seasons. Crane and Kauffman created material that they did not know about from their personal lives, according to Kudrow, who appeared on Phoebe Buffay on the comedy from 1994-2004.
