A frustrated housewife leaving her family to fulfil herself may not sound very original.  Yet in Apple TV+'s highly anticipated adaptation of Laura Lippman's 2019 novel Lady In The Lake, not only do the twists keep coming, but our housewife also uncovers secrets that she would rather had remained buried. The seven-part noir thriller stars Oscar-winner Natalie Portman (Black Swan) as Maddie Schwartz, a Jewish housewife in 1960s Baltimore who leaves her husband of 20 years and her teenage son behind and helps the police investigate the brutal murder of an 11-year-old girl. 

Apple TV Plus has released the first-look image of Natalie Portman as Maddie Schwartz in the upcoming limited series Lady in the Lake. The series is adapted from the 2019 Laura Lippman novel, set in 1960s Baltimore, with the streaming series setting a July 19 premiere date. The image reveals Portman as Schwartz looking troubled, outside of what appears to be a department store.

Natalie Portman was seen taking her cute fluffy white pooch out for a morning walk in Los Feliz on Monday. The Academy Award-winning actress, 41, wore a grey Rodarte T-shirt and denim shorts that showcased her toned legs. The defamation comes after news that Lady in the Lake's new show Lady in the Lake was forced to stop filming due to shooting risks from local Baltimore 'drug dealers.'

If production didn't pay them $50,000, a pair of drug dealers threatened to shoot up the set of the Apple TV+ show Lady in the Lake. The incident occurred on the 200 block of Park Avenue in Downtown Baltimore, and after a delay, the set was moved to a new location. Natalie Portman and Lupita Nyong'o, who clashed during an investigation into a murder in 1960s Baltimore, were on the show.
