Kristene and Jordan DiMarco married, and they have two children, daughter Lorelai Praise, and son Nicodemus León. They live in Redding, California.
Music career
Kristene grew up in Niagara Falls, NY, and with her family attended Destiny Christian Church. Kristene was 16 years old when she took over the congregation in 2002. After being asked to join the worship team, she began learning to play the piano. For the first time, her worship leader pressed her to lead a song for the first time a year later. Kristene began writing worship songs and leading songs on Sunday mornings under her worship leader's guidance. Kristene moved to Kansas City and spent a few months as an intern at the International House of Prayer. Kristene migrated to San Francisco from there.
Her music career began in 2008 with the album Those Who Dream, and Jesus Culture Music unveiled it on December 9, 2008, with a re-release from Kingsway Music of the same album on July 13, 2010. Cross Rhythms reviewed the album. Kingsway Music launched Safe Place on April 10, 2012. Cross Rhythms, Indie Vision Music, Jesus Freak Hideout twice, Louder Than the Music, and New Release Tuesday reviewed the album.
She has appeared on Bethel Music's album "You Make Me Brave," and this charted on the Billboard magazine song chart, Hot Christian Songs, reaching a peak of No. 0 on the Billboard bestseller chart, featuring the single "It Is Well." 27. Kristene will be joining Bethel Music in the spring of 2016.
