Following his incredible success in his first year as head coach, Matt Peet has signed a new seven-year contract with the Wigan Warriors. In October 2021, the 39-year-old was promoted to the top job at the DW Stadium, but he has already claimed every trophy in rugby league. In his first season as coach, Peet led Wigan to victory in the Challenge Cup before winning the League Leaders' Shield and Grand Final last year and then the World Club Challenge last month.
