In a three-minute video posted to TikTok, Hawaii native Kouvr Annon sobbed as she lay bare her plight. She said the Australian Shepard breeder she had found online had 'looked really legit,' a decision she reached after she'reverse-image searched' photos of the puppy she had chosen on impulse. According to the ASPCA, thousands of adoptable dogs continue to languish in kill centers around the country, with an estimated 400,000 being euthanized every year.
