QUENTIN LETTS: Jings, Sir Keir's a snore. A one-man fun-extinguisher. Soon eyelids were shutting faster than High Street banks

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 16, 2024
SIR Keir Starmer, never knowingly innovative, unveiled his Blair-tribute pledge card in Essex at an opera-rehearsal space. It ain't over until Emily Thornberry sings? Alas, shadow attorney general Emily was not given a slot, though she eyed the lectern hungrily. Nor did we hear from David Lammy, the Henry Kissinger de nos jours. Mr Lammy sat there looking under-loved. Purfleet railway station swarmed with men in dark suits and red ties. Starmerites dress like Gordon Brown. Soon they'll be issued with the sort of notepads and pencils North Koreans hold when craning to catch Kim Jong Un's every pearl. The pledge card is a paper effort that pulls apart, concertina-style, to reveal its important pronouncements. Its glossy outer shell carries a snapshot of the nasal knight holding in his tummy while doing a Colin-Firth-in-Kingsman pose.

As world lurches from crisis to crisis, experts share their 24-carat advice on... How - and when - to GO FOR GOLD

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 12, 2024
In City circles, most of the recent investment talk has all been about the booming UK stock market, not gold. The resurgence of gold has largely gone under the radar. Maybe it's because it is telling us something that we don't necessarily want to hear - namely that the world is becoming increasingly dangerous and that the West may at some stage in the next few years be dragged into conflicts bigger than any it has faced since the ending of the Second World War in 1945.

The new rocket launch system is the latest move by North Korea to bolster its lineup of weapons targeting South Korean population centres and will be deployed to the nation's armed forces later this year, according to state media. But South Korea military officials also suspect the tests are aimed at examining weapons North Korea plans to export to Russia, in a bid to help extend its warfighting in Ukraine.

Kim Ki Nam died on Tuesday due to old age and 'multiple organ dysfunction', having been treated at a hospital since 2022, the country's official Korean Central News Agency said. He was 94. Kim Jong Un visited the funeral hall early Wednesday morning, paid silent tribute and looked around the bier with 'bitter grief over the loss of a veteran revolutionary who had remained boundlessly loyal' to the regime, state media KCNA said. The North Korean leader was seen bowing in front of the bier as a contingent of military men in uniforms serenaded them with various musical instruments. Nam was often referred to as the Joseph Goebbels of North Korea, in reference to the Nazi propagandist-in-chief, so key was his work in entrenching the Kim family in power.

Democrat in hot water for invoking 'racist' Asian stereotype by saying Kristi Noem 'wanted to eat dog' with Kim Jong Un

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 7, 2024
A Democrat lawmaker is getting skewered for making a 'racist' joke about South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. Rep. Jared Moskowitz, D-Fla., circulated a video of Noem on Monday writing, 'Why am I getting the feeling that she wanted to eat dog with Kim Jong Un,' before later deleting the post from X. Recently, the South Dakota Governor has caught flak for excerpts from her new book detailing how she shot and killed her dog and another saying that she met with Kim Jon Un. But Moskowitz's attempt at humor infuriated some, including Korean-American Rep. Michelle Steel, R-Calif., who called the post 'racist.' 'There is no excuse for racist stereotyping - especially by a Member of Congress,' she posted in response to Moskowitz. 'I've experienced this kind of discrimination firsthand. So have many of my constituents. It must not be tolerated.'

The sex life of Kim Jong Un: Virgins hand-picked for his 'pleasure squad', a train packed with strippers, 'porn star' ex-girlfriend and staff meetings with dancers providing sexual services

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 4, 2024
Kim Jong Un is notorious for being one of the world's most repressive leaders, his grisly execution methods - and his seemingly adoring posse of women. From having his personal and handpicked 'Pleasure Squad' of '25 tall and beautiful virgins' to owning a disturbing 'Pleasure Train'  packed with stunning 'lady conductors' the North Korean dictator is rarely without his squad. Images of the despot surrounded by wailing women have been widely shared, showing the tubby leader donning his usual black get-up in the middle of dozens of women who are seen desperately clinging onto him. One piece of unsettling footage shows Kim's young 'army of beauties' bursting into a perfectly choreographed cheerleading routine in the South Korean city of Gangneung, as they sport matching red outfits and grin into the camera. But according to defectors in the totalitarian state, there is a dark and twisted truth behind the images of smiling doting women as they claim girls are plucked from classrooms and subjected to medical tests to check they are virgins before being forced into a life of sexual servitude as part of Kim's 'Pleasure Squad'.The sleazy despot, who despite having a long-suffering wife, continues to flaunt himself surrounded by screaming women on camera, seemingly unfazed by rumours of a current mistress and past relationships with an adult film star.

Kim Jong Un 'selects 25 virgin girls every year to serve him in his Pleasure Squad', claims defector who says she was short-listed for the dictator's harem

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 2, 2024
Kim Jong Un takes time each year to select 25 virgin girls to entertain him personally in a disturbing 'pleasure squad', a North Korean defector has claimed. Yeonmi Park, 30, alleged that officials 'visit every classroom and... even go to school-yards in case they missed someone that was pretty' in their horrifying searches for young women, according to The Star. After undergoing medical examinations to check they are still virgins, the women then 'have to learn how to please these men-that's their only goal,' she said.

Rise and fall of Le Hellraiser: How Gerard Depardieu, 75, went from grave robbing and stealing cars to urinating in a passenger jet aisle, befriending Putin and 'sparking French MeToo movement' as rape claims mount up against cinema legend

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 29, 2024
For decades, Gérard Depardieu has been known as one of France 's greatest and most prolific actors, starring in hundreds of films, television productions and plays. The 75-year-old Oscar-nominated thespian has portrayed numerous historical and fictitious figures including Georges Danton, Joseph Stalin, Honoré de Balzac, Alexandre Dumas, Christopher Columbus and Cyrano de Bergerac. This reputation as a French film great is perhaps only matched by his renown for impish behaviour, and over the years, the public - and Depardieu himself - have revelled in his wild excesses, including his drinking and womanising. He has over the years relieved himself in front of fellow passengers on a plane, boasted of his youth as a grave-robbing rent boy and cosied up to some of the world's most feared autocrats - including Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un. However, the limit of what many among the French public were willing to ascribe to his mischievous nature appeared to reach a limit when a series of women accused Depardieu of rape and sexual assault.

This comes after Kim Jong Un's forces tested a 'super-large warhead' on Friday, according to North Korean state media.

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 21, 2024
Clinton, who lost the presidential election to Trump in 2016, was appearing on the Defending Democracy podcast where she gave her take on the 2024 race. She believes that when it comes to the rematch between Biden and Trump, she still backs the 'effective and compassionate' current president despite his age who 'wants to maintain our Democracy.' Trump, on the other hand, Clinton believes would be an autocrat in the model of Vladimir Putin or a dictator the likes of Kim Jong Un, while also being 'old' as she put it.
