Kenneth Page (born January 20, 1954) is an American actor and cabaret singer.
Page is best known for its role as the voice of Oogie Boogie, the main antagonist in The Nightmare Before Christmas and King Gator of All Dogs Go to Heaven.
In addition to the original Broadway and filmed stage performances of Cats, the Musical, he also performed "Ken" in the original Broadway production of Ain't Misbehavin'.
Early life
Kenneth Page was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He was raised Catholic by his mother, Gloria, and his stepfather, Garvin Gilstrap. He attended St. Bridget of Erin and St. Nicholas elementary schools. He was inspired by a mentor and an older cousin to study theater while attending St. Nicholas. He graduated from Bishop DuBourg High School in 1973. He attended Fontbonne College in Clayton, Missouri, on a full scholarship and majored in theater from there.

Page said in a 2015 interview with St. Louis Magazine that he identifies as gay.
Career
Page began his work as a chorusman at The Muny outdoor theater in St. Louis. Page played Nicely Johnson in the all-black revival of Guys and Dolls, after making his Broadway debut in The Wiz. (Theatre World Award). He appeared in the original cast of the Fats Waller musical revue, Ain't Misbehavin' (Drama Desk Award), a role he reprised in the 1982 television broadcast. In 1988 Broadway revival, he appeared on the stage for the first time. He appeared in Old Deuteronomy in Cats in 1982, reversing the role in the 1998 film version. In Randy Newman's Faust at La Jolla Playhouse and Goodman Theatre, and in Stephen Schwartz' Children of Eden (West End), he also has the honor of being God twice. Usually appears in shows at The Muny, including Jesus Christ Superstar, Aida, The Wizard of Oz, Les Misérables, My One and Only, and Little Shop of Horrors.
Among Page's main film credits are All Dogs Go to Heaven and Torch Song Trilogy, as well as Dreamgirls. His television appearances include guest appearances on shows including Charmed and Touched by an Angel, as well as numerous films and specials.
Page by Page, Page by Page's cabaret-singer show, has developed and appeared in later years, as well as numerous regional and touring productions. In the Muny's production of Little Shop of Horrors, Page was the voice of Audrey II, the infamous talking plant. In the Lubbock Moonlight Musicals production of Cats, he also played Old Deuteronomy.
He reprises his role as Oogie Boogie in numerous Disney shows, including Disneyland's fireworks display HalloWishes, the Haunted Mansion Holiday, Oogie's Revenge, and subsequent video games such as The Pumpkin King and the Kingdom Hearts series.
