Block appeared on a mainstream British television audience in 2016 after being cast in a BBC Top Gear (left) segment featuring actor and host Matt LeBlanc. The appearance sparked intense controversy due to a stunt in which Block did 'donuts' in a car near the Cenotaph. The father of three children, who was dubbed a 'visionary, a explorer, and a hero,' co-founded the sportswear company DC Shoes before turning his attention to Hoonigan Industries, a clothing brand for auto enthusiasts. He died in Woodland, Utah.

In one of his last social media posts, Block, who died as a result of a snowmobile crash in Utah on Monday afternoon, shared his holiday trip (pictured) surrounded by his family in a snowy Canadian ski lodge. Ken Block (inset) died after his snowmobile overturned and landed on top of him, where he was declared dead at the scene, according to Wasatch County Sheriff's Office. Block and his family can be seen enjoying the festive season outside in the snow and decorating their Christmas tree in the cozy ski chalet during his tragic death.
