New York City FC beat Toronto FC 2-1 in their first game of Major League Soccer Season, with the latter not giving up any goals in its previous three games

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 17, 2024
Toronto FC was the lone Major League Soccer team to not allow a goal this season, with three clean sheets on the road against New York City FC on Saturday night. On a spectacular free kick goal from Santiago Rodriguez, the bubble burst in the 24th minute. NYCFC defeated 2-1 at Yankee Stadium midway through the second half on a Kevin O'Toole header, winning their first game of the season. A reversal of fortunes was not in the cards for New York, who gave Toronto's Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty a 7th-minute goal on a play marred by defensive mishaps.

Thanks to Brian Cufre's late equalizer, New York City FC and Charlotte FC draw 1-1

On Wednesday night, Braian Cufre came to the rescue with an 81st-minute goal, netting New York City FC a 1-1 draw against Charlotte FC. NYCFC (5-7-10, 25 points) dominated the game and the prospects throughout the match, but Cufre's goal was to prevent a loss. The result left NYCFC undefeated in the last seven outings (1-0-6).
