Club career

Orsolini is a product of Ascoli's youth academy. He made his debut with the first team in Serie B in 2015–16, winning 9 appearances in the league.

Orsolini joined Juventus on a €6 million per year deal until June 2021, plus an additional €4 million based on specific circumstances. Orsolini, on the other hand, is still in Ascoli Piceno until the end of the season.

Orsolini joined Atalanta on a two-year loan on July 14th.

Orsolini went back to Juve and then on loan to Bologna F.C. 1909, who made only substitution appearances for Atalanta, in a January 2018. The loan is for 18 months, with the ability to buy. Orsolini completed a professional contract with Bologna on June 19, 2019 and joined the club on a permanent basis.

International career

Orsolini, the Italian U-20 World Cup, competed in the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup and led the tournament in goals, scoring five goals, as Italy finished third, their highest ever result. He was dubbed by many in the media as the outright best player on the Italian side due to his prolific performances.

In a 3–0 friendly loss to Spain, he made his Italy U21 debut on September 1, 2017.

Orsolini made his senior international debut for Italy on November 18, 2019, replacing Nicol Barella as a substitute for him in Italy's final Euro 2020 qualifier; he marked the occasion by scoring his first international goal and later assisted Federico Chiesa's goal.
