The Alps' holiday rep, 23, did not seek medical attention for a head injury due to the cost

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 9, 2022
Despite working in a hotel next to a doctor's surgery, a young holiday rep in the French Alps did not seek medical assistance for her head injury due to the expense. As she worked in a Les Menuires ski resort, Kayleigh Harris (pictured), 23, was struck by a skier while out snowboarding. After the crash, which left her with a small bump on her head and refused to go to a doctor, Kayleigh, a Taunton girl, chuckled 'what a d***.' A coroner at the inquest in Taunton said she'could have at least had a chance' if she had medical assistance sooner, although there is no evidence she would have survived. Medical fees for minor injuries, according to Hotel Skilt coworkers, could easily exceed £600, equal to a month's wage.
