The far-left ACLU is suing on behalf of a young, tatted child murderer who wanted to convince Indiana to use federal funds to fund the inmate's gender-affirming surgery. Jonathan C. Richardson, also known as Autumn Cordellione, was sentenced to 55 years in prison in 2001 for the 11-month-old stepdaughter's deadly strangulation and is serving a 55-year term. The step came after the adoption of a new bill during the 2023 legislative session that prohibits the Indiana Department of Corrections from providing gender-affirming medical services to imprisoned transgender people. The ACLU argues that the new bill is in breach of the Eighth Amendment's prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment. Richardson's reassignment surgery, according to the suit, is a medical necessity.'
