Peter White, an actor best known for his appearances on the soap opera All My Children and in several adaptations of The Boys in the Band, has died at the age of 86. White died of melanoma at his Los Angeles home on Wednesday, according to All My Children costar Kathleen Noone of The Hollywood Reporter. Both on stage and in director William Friedkin's 1970 film The Boys in the Band portrayed Alan McCarthy.
