Kathryn Mary Garraway (born 4 May 1967) is an English journalist, television, and radio presenter. On Tuesdays, Garraway, the host of Mid Mornings with Kate Garraway on Smooth Radio and co-anchor (on Fridays) of Good Morning Britain on ITV Breakfast.
Early life
Garraway's father was a public servant, and her mother was a tutor. She attended Dunmore Primary School and Fitzharrys School in Abingdon. She earned a BA in English and History from Bath College of Higher Education (now Bath Spa University).

Garraway was married to Ian Rumsey, her ex manager at ITV Meridian from 1998 to 2002.
Garraway married Derek Draper in Camden, London, in September 2005. Draper, a political aide to former Labour cabinet minister Peter Mandelson, was a central figure in the scandal dubbed "Lobbygate." They live in north London and have a daughter, Darcey, and a son.
Dr. Long COVID (19) was diagnosed in March 2020 and remains hospitalized in a critical condition as of March 2021; he had an unusually high incidence of Long COVID. Career
Garraway, a producer, reporter, and news presenter, appeared in 1989 on ITV News Central in South Africa. After being "talent spotted" by a manager who saw her presenting a three-minute bulletin on ITV Central in 1996, she became co-presenter of the South East edition of ITV News Meridian on ITV News Meridian.
Garraway joined Sunrise on Sky News with Martin Stanford in 1998.
Garraway joined GMTV in September 2000 and co-presenting GMTV Today with Andrew Castle each Friday (and Thursdays later). Garraway eventually shared Fiona Phillips and Emma Crosby's presenting duties. She co-hosted the programme with Ben Shephard in 2009, presenting on Mondays, Tuesdays, and alternate Wednesdays. She had also co-presented with Eamonn Holmes, John Stapleton, and Dan Lobb during Garraway's time at GMTV. On August 31, she hosted her final show.

Garraway appeared in the fifth season of Strict Come Dancing, partnered with professional dancer Anton du Beke. Despite receiving the lowest mark from the judges every week but one this week, Garraway finished eighth of the 14 couples, but one of them was clearly saved by the public vote prior to her expulsion in week seven.
Garraway filed a lawsuit against the Sunday Mirror in February 2008 after the paper published a photo of her embracing du Beke, implying that they were having an affair, which the pair denied.
Garraway's broadcasting work began with BBC Radio Oxford, and by 1994, she had become a BBC Radio Oxford trainee journalist.
