Watch Wyndham Clark's putt lips out on the final hole of The Players Championship, his second straight victory for Scottie Scheffler at TPC Sawgrass

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 17, 2024
On Sunday, Wyndham Clark had a chance to force a playoff at The Players Championship in Florida, but instead they fell victim to one of the most painful endings in PGA history. Clark had the last shot but his putt barely dipped into the cup on the left side and came out on the right side, leaving him speechless as he placed his hand over his mouth. Scottie Scheffler, who came up five shots behind in the final round, was on the practice range preparing for a three-hole playoff when he heard the word and showed more emotion than usual for someone who is used to winning. Scheffler introduced yet another layer to his legend on Sunday, making him the best in the world. He became the first player to win back-to-back in 50 years of The Players Championship by matching the biggest comeback and lowest closing round by a winner.

Ivor Robson, the legendary golf announcer, dubbed 'Voice of The Open,' has died at the age of 83

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 17, 2023
Robson was the official first-tee starter for 18,995 players in 41 editions of the championship between Carnoustie and St Andrews in 2015. His 'on the tee' appearance on a distinctly Scottish accent has continued to be imitated on golf courses around the world. The R&A's CEO, Martin Slumbers, who organises The Open, expressed he was "terribly sad" to hear of Ivor's death.
