Josy (Joseph) Braun (14 January 1938 – 4 August 2012) was a Luxembourg writer, journalist, and translator who wrote mainly in Luxembourgish.Braun wrote plays for adults and children, poetry, prose, and children's stories.

His plays, which often reference political issues, include D'Kromm an der Heck (1966), Requiem fir e Lompeimer (1966), Wie bas de Leo. Hexejuecht (1978), 1976-1976.

His books have been translated into German, French, English, Italian, Portuguese, and Russian.

In Luxembourgish, Porto fir d'Affekoten (1997), he wrote the first detective story.

Billersproochbiller, his wife Josée Klinker's, was translated into French, German, and English, with the intention of extending readership far beyond the local Luxembourgers.

Braun describes the village life in which people's inner conditions and spiritual experiences are slowing changing.
