The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons are coming to life in Central Park as they are inflated. This year's holiday flights feature 16 giant character balloons as well as many classic characters such as the Pillsbury Doughboy, Baby Yoda, Smokey the Bear, Ronald McDonald. For the first time, Baby Shark, Bluey, and a Minion have all arrived at the parade. On Wednesday, the massive balloons were blown up between midday and 6 p.m. along Central Park West. Each balloon takes about 90 minutes to inflate. This year's parade will feature 16 giant character balloons, 28 floats, 40 novelty and heritage inflatables, 12 marching bands, more than 800 clowns, and, of course, Santa Claus. This year, Pillsbury Doughboy, Boss Baby, Aida Twist, The Hottest Heart, Chase from Paw Patrol, Red Titan, Goku, Bluey, and SpongeBob SquarePants & Gary are among the many balloons on display. The baby Shark, Smokey Bear, Go Bowling Ballonicles, Striker, Ronald McDonald, Astronaut Snoopy, Papa Smurf, and Pikachu & Eeevee round out the crowd.
