When Anwar and Louis Scott released their self-titled debut album, Raptor, in August 1994, they were 12 and 13 years old. At the time, they were Thailand's youngest artists. The duo's name was inspired by the famous two dinosaurs in the kitchen scene at the end of the movie Jurassic Park, and the pair loved the idea of "rap" in "raptor."
The film "Kid Thung Ter" (Missing you) was a huge success. Both "Super Hero" and "Kum Wa Peun" (The word friend) charted. They have sold more than a million copies of their album.
Raptor appeared in a joint performance with senior boy band Hijack on September 24, 1994, debuting a collaboration track called "Yha Kid Wa Ter Mai Mee Krai" (Don't believe you haven't heard one). The song was later released on one of Hijack's best hits albums. They appeared at Amy Sports Stadium on November 17, 1995, debuting their song "Kow Kew," which was later broadcast on Hot Collection 4.
Anwar and Scott's fourth studio album, Raptor Goodbye, followed after releasing their collaboration album The Next. This was supposedly their last album together before they parted ways. The album's "Sayonara Goodbye" is a Thai interpretation of Pat Kirby's "Sayonara" performed in Thailand.
"Sayonara Goodbye," "In My Heart," "Go Go Go!", and "Ruu Tao Bang Mai" were among the famous songs. The Raptor Monchos Dance Festival, held in MBK Hall on July 4, 1998, was the most popular show in this series, but not the last concert, as they continued to tour around Thailand throughout July and August 1998.
The Memory, The Raptor's last album (May 1998), is a compilation of their hits from all of their albums, as well as remixes and a special song, "Kwam Shong Jum (The memory)."
