According to Denton County court documents obtained by WFAA, all three charges of escalated sexual assault of a child filed against Wetteland, 56, were dismissed on March 23, according to Denton County court records. Last week, prosecutors filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit entirely. Judge Lee Ann Breading approved the motion. According to the WFAA, there were no plans to press new charges in the investigation on Monday. Authorities first accused Wetteland of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 14 three times between 2004 and 2006, beginning when the child was four years old.
