In a declassified paper, Bob Hawke's secrets were exposed

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 26, 2023
Former Prime Minister Bob Hawke had no family and ran up his 'Aussie ocker' to gain over voters, according to a recently declassified document. The harsh review was one of many by a senior British diplomat at the High Commission in Canberra in July, 1983, who wrote of high-profile Aussies. After swiftly rising through the ranks, second secretary John Russell wrote the book, Mr Hawke must have 'watch his back.'

ONE ROUND-UP: Barnsley defeated Port Vale in the first day on the day, defeating the relegated Wigans, who lost out at Derby

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 5, 2023
Barnsley put a 7-0 thrashing of Port Vales on the first day of League One put last season's Play-off Final disappointment behind them. Last season, the Tykes were notably defeated by Sheffield on Wednesday in the league's last season, but the Tykes bounced back by defeating Vale for six at Oakwell. Devante Cole was the star of the show, netting a hat-trick for Barnsley as part of John Russell's, Liam Kitching, and Dan Jones' own goal. Reading got off to a rocky start in League One after losing by Peterborough in their first home game after relegation from the Championship last season. In his first game in charge of the Royals, Ephron Mason-Clark was enough to beat Ruben Selles right before halftime.

Jack Russell Terriers, who were originally owned by King Charles, have seen a 40 percent increase in popularity

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 4, 2023
Since King Charles took the throne, Jack Russell Terriers have soared in fame. According to The Kennel Club, there has been a 40 percent increase in the number of puppy registrations of the pint-sized breed in the last year. King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla are parents to two Jack Russell Terriers, Bluebell and Beth, who were rehomed from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in 2017. They are the youngest canine residents of the palace since the monarch took the throne and may have contributed to the breed's revival before the coronation.
