New aerial and underwater video shows the full extent of the garbage left behind by partygoers who descended on Lake Tahoe for the Fourth of July. Around 8,500 pounds of garbage was collected after the holiday, more than twice the 3,500lbs left behind last year. Hundreds of bags of beer cans, food wrappers, cigarette butts, beach toys, barbecues, and disposable vaping were found on the beach and lake.

During the annual 'Keep Tahoe Red, White & Blue' beach cleanup on Wednesday, cigarette butts, plastic food wrappers, beach toys, and barbecues were all confiscated from six popular beach sites and nearby parking lots. During the volunteer cleanup, which has been ongoing since 2014, over 400 people were raked up the mountains of garbage, which was 'tragically an all-time record.' A video of Wednesday's clean-up - describing the massive piles of garbage scattered among discarded beach chairs and tents was posted on social media.

George Santos brokered sale of $19 million 141-foot superyacht - possibly earning $400,000 referral

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 16, 2023
After arranging the auction of the 141-ft Namaste in November 2022, George Santos will add yacht broker to his already-extensive resume. Campaign contributions are now being investigated by politicians. The sale was legal, but Santos' participation in it may have broken campaign finance legislation if he used the funds for his campaign. John Ruiz, a partner and billionaire businessman, and his partner Mayra (bottom right), who was one of Santos' top contributors, were selling the yacht. In March 2022, she contributed $10,800 to Santos' joint fund-raising committee, becoming one of the first to contribute after he was elected. Raymond Tantillo (top right), a Long Island auto dealer who sold Santos more than $17,000, was another big contributor. Santos' political efforts were also lauded by Tantillo's two ex-wives. Santos told Semafor in December that if a customer needed to sell a plane or a boat, he would 'put that feeler out there' among his contacts. He told the paper that he had negotiated a few million dollars. 'My referral fee if you're looking at a $20 million yacht could be anywhere between $200,000 and $400,000,' he said.

Since the Cavinder twins ate dinner at the booster's house, Miami gets a NCAA penalty.'

www.dailymail.co.uk, February 24, 2023
The University of Miami's athletic department has been suspended for one year after the school and NCAA announced that women's basketball coaches had inadvertently helped orchestrate unlawful contact between a booster and two players who were considered social media influencers, the Cavinder twins. The NCAA did not reveal neither the booster nor the players involved, but it did cite a tweet by a booster on April 13 that included a snapshot of him and two recruits. After a dinner at his house on that date, booster John Ruiz shared a snapshot of himself with Haley and Hanna Cavinder.

If Anthony Joshua defeats Oleksandr Usyk, he will become the FIFTH three-time heavyweight champion

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 18, 2022
POWELL, JEFF POWELL IN JEDDAH: Anthony Joshua (centre) - having been knocked out by roly-poly Mexican Andrea Ruiz Jnr and then dramatically out-pointed by Oleksandr Usyk (inset left) - hopes to stake his name by joining the elite band of three-time world heavyweight champions, despite being disappointed. Muhammad Ali (top left), Lennox Lewis (top right), Vitali Klitschko (bottom right), and Evander Holyfield (bottom left), the former champion who went on to become the only four-time champion. It would be a huge accomplishment if Joshua can join them on that page of the history books by battling his way to repentance against Usyk. But a place in the pantheon of all-time ring greats defies more than just being a triple crown champion. In Joshua's case, he'd need to step into the ring with and defeat Tyson Fury (inset right).
