On Thursday, Brisbane-based company Ellume Limited's directors reported that the company will enter voluntary administration. FTI Consulting's John Park and Joanne Dunn were appointed voluntary administrators by the company. After signing a multi-year contract worth more than $300 million, Ellume Limited became the first to perform rapid antigen tests (RAT) for the United States. However, several instances of false-positive readings and stock recalls over the past year have culminated in their demise. As complaints about false positive results increased, they were forced to recall more than 2 million of its do-it-yourself coronavirus tests in the United States in November.
