Seven Star Construction, a South Australian building company, is on the verge of failure after being stripped of its building permit, which has left more than two dozen people homeless in the city. The license suspension came after a dozen reports of long delays in construction at Modbury and Plympton. Another of Australia's top building companies has gone bankrupt, owing to millions of trades labourers and the tax office. On June 30, Utopian Residential Pty Ltd was formed and went into voluntary receivership. According to the creditors' report, the Melbourne-based company owes $3.2 million to creditors, including $550,000 to the Australian Tax Office. Kevin Langdon and Ian Grant of Vince & Associates have been named liquidators.

The Nashville Predators paid tribute to the victims of the deadly shooting at a Tennessee school with some helmet stickers, a moment of silence, and a 2-1 victory over the Boston Bruins on Wednesday as the region continues to recover from the tragedy. After skipping the team flight to Boston, defenseman Ryan McDonagh aided the Predators in the game. He actually stayed home on Monday to be with his three young children in the blighted neighborhood. McDonagh caught a commercial flight to Boston the day after a tragic grade school shooting in Nashville that killed six people, including three girls.
