Only 7.9% of Brits diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2014 could live to be five years old. The odds in Australia were almost double at 14.9 percent. It comes as top analysts have warned that Britain is woefully 15 years behind other nations due to a lack of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Thousands of patients are reportedly being refused potentially life-saving medication on the NHS, according to the bleak report. And for patients who did get medical care, they were still waiting, raising the risk of their disease spreading and slashing survival odds.

Elnaugh (right), 59, who appeared in season two of the BBC reality show (inset), purchased a 70-acre plot in Cressbrook Dale, Derbyshire, for £79.99. By erecting a teepee and building a parking garage, she and a group called Phoenix Rose began to expand the site (left). However, the company did not have the required planning permission from the Peak District National Park Authority (PDNPA), and was told to demolish the buildings and return the land to its former state. Park officials have now dismantled the building and delivered the £35,000 bill to Phoenix Rose after failing to reverse the changes in the ensuing weeks.

Butler, a baker from Mostyn, North Wales, was found guilty of assaulting Teresa Butler and breaking a door.
