Joey Bragg, a Disney Channel presenter, explains that show producers were paid via loophole to hire actors below minimum wage

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 4, 2023
Actor Joey Bragg has said that actors were paid less than minimum wage due to a loophole. The actor, 27, appeared on comedy Liv and Maddie, which aired from 2013 to 2017, but Liv and Maddie: Cali Style was revived in its fourth and final season. Bragg has now revealed the reason for the rebranding, claiming that shows will be either revived or cancelled after the third season because Disney doesn't have to pay the full Writer Guild of America (WGA) rates before then.
