Joe Pietersen Life

Johan Christiaan Pietersen (born 18 May 1984) is a South African rugby union player who currently plays for the San Diego Legion in Major League Rugby. He began his career in Western Province, playing for them in the domestic Currie Cup and Vodacom Cup competitions, as well as representing the Stormers in Super Rugby.

In 2010, he worked with Bayonne in France, but on Nov. 4th, he rejoined Western Province on a two-year contract.

He moved to Durban to join the Sharks after just six months. Before the 2016–2017 Top East League season, he joined Japanese side Kamaishi Seawaves.

Professional career

He began his career at Western Province, competing for them in the domestic Currie Cup and Vodacom Cup, as well as representing the Stormers in Super Rugby. In 2010, he joined Bayonne in France but on November 4, 2011, he returned to Western Province for a two-year contract.

After a second stint with Biarritz in France, he returned to South Africa to join Bloemfontein-based Free State Cheetahs in 2014. He travelled to Durban to join the Sharks after only six months.

Prior to the 2016–2017 Top East League season, he was with the Japanese side Kamaishi Seawaves.
