Betty Brodel, an actress and the sister of golden age ingénue Joan Leslie, has died at the age of 104. According to The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday, the veteran actress died in Florida on Sunday after a family friend named Cathy Palmer. Betty appeared in Thank Your Lucky Stars (1943) and Hollywood Canteen (1944), as well as additional Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942), Too Young to Know (1945) and Cinderella Jones (1946). Joan Leslie, her sister, was one of the 1930s and 1940s' most well-known film ingénues, as she is best known for her 1941 appearances in Sergeant York and High Sierra.
