Personal life
Korda is the granddaughter of retired professional tennis players Petr Korda and Regina Rajchrtová. Her father is a grand slam champion, winning the 1998 Australian Open Championship. Sebastian, her younger brother, took the Australian Open boys' championship in 2018.
At the 2013 United States Women's Open, her personal and professional lives collided. She and caddy Jason Gilroyed had several disagreements during the third round of the tournament, and she shot him after shooting 5-over-par for the first nine holes. She then requested that her boyfriend, professional golfer Johnny DelPrete, come in from the gallery and act as her caddy for the remainder of the round. Korda shot 1-under for the second nine holes, but she kept DelPrete on her bag for the final round.
Nelly Korda, her younger sister, joined her on the 2017 LPGA Tour after earning her card through the Symetra Tour and ranked number one on the Women's World Golf Rankings in 2021.

Amateur career
Korda was a member of the 2009 United States' national Guard Corps. The 2010 U.S. Curtis Cup teams represent junior Solheim and the 2010 U.S. Curtis Cup teams. She won the 2010 South Atlantic Amateur and made the cut at the 2008 and 2009 U.S. Women's Opens as an amateur. Korda finished T19 in her U.S. Open debut in 2008, shooting a 69 on Sunday in her only round in the 60s. At the 2010 U.S. Women's Amateur Championships, she came in runner's place.
She starred for the Czech Republic in the World Amateur Team Championship Espirito Santo Santo Santo Santo Trophy in 2006 and then toured the United States in 2010, finishing tied for 4th individually and silver medalist with her team.
Korda, a 17-year-old boy, began attending LPGA Qualifying School in the fall of 2010. She came in runner-up in the final Qualifying Tournament, making her eligible for full coverage of the Tour in 2011.
Professional career
During the second event of the 2011 season, Korda turned 18. She participated in 15 events in her debut year; her highest finish at the Avnet LPGA Classic was a tie for 19th. In the inaugural event of the 2012 season, the Women's Australian Open at Royal Melbourne was her first professional win. Her triumph came on the second hole of a six-person playoff after rounds of 72-72, 73-74.
Korda won her second LPGA Tour title at the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic in January 2014, just one shot behind Stacy Lewis.
