Early life
Weixler graduated from Atherton High School in Louisville, Kentucky, where she also attended the Walden Theatre Conservatory Program and was active in the Chamber Singers' chorus and orchestra. Weixler survived Juilliard as a classmate of Jessica Chastain. She was a participant in Bruce Brubaker's InterArts performance project at Juilliard in the first year.
Personal life
Weixler is married to Hamish Brocklebank, an English businessman and co-founder of Flooved, a school textbook distribution business. Their first daughter was born in 2019.
Career
She was nominated for a Breakthrough Award at the Gotham Awards in 2007 and received the Special Jury Prize "for a dramatic and jaw-dropping performance" at the Sundance Film Festival, both for her role in Teeth. She has appeared in the TV series Law & Order: Criminal Intent. She was voted "New Indie Queen" of the year by New York magazine in January 2009, and one of the fourteen "New Yorkers you should know" in January 2009.
In 2013, she appeared on CBS' The Good Wife, playing investigator Robyn Burdine. Eleanor Rigby's sister appeared in The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby in the same year. The part was written specifically for her.
Weixler then turned to writing, composing the script for Apartment Troubles with her companion and former roommate Jennifer Prediger. In the film, the two co-directed and co-starred. The 2014 Los Angeles Film Festival was the premiere of Apartment Troubles. In March 2015, Gravitas Ventures acquired it and announced it on stage and VOD.
