The highly awaited Rockefeller Christmas tree has been carefully selected to stand in the historic New York City plaza this holiday season. The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will be transported from Vestal, New York, to the Manhattan holiday hotspot this year. The tree, which is an 80-year-old Norway Spruce, will be cut down on November 9 and land in the plaza on November 11. More than 50,000 multi-colored LED lights will be included on the tree, and crowned with a Swarovski star with 3 million crystals.
