Coronation Street's icon is expected to return 16 years after she left the ITV soap, and filming has already begun. Jenny Platt, 44, who is best known for her role as Violet Wilson, made her first on-screen appearance in 2004 and remained on the cobbles until 2008, but she returned to Weatherfield for the last time in 2011. Violet gave birth to her son Dylan Wilson (played by Anthony Cotton), then moved to London with her son and her partner Jamie Baldwin (Rupert Hill).
