Jennifer Lee Taylor (born February 17, 1973) is an American voice actress best known for her roles as Cortana in various Halo games as well as the intelligent personal assistant of the same name.
She also voices Zoey in Left 4 Dead; Princess Peach, Toad, and Toadette in various Mario games between 1999 and 2008; Salem in RWBY, and Lina, Windranger, Puck and Medusa in Dota 2.
Career
Jen Taylor learned how to do voice work by recording the radio and imitating what she heard. She earned a degree in theater from Northwestern University. She began as a radio DJ for KNDD before beginning to work in voice.
In several video games, Taylor has voiced characters. Princess Peach, Toad, and Toadette appeared in Mario games from 1999 to 2006. Cortana has been a voice in Halo games since the first game in the series, Halo: Combat Evolved (2001). Cortana, the character's virtual assistant, was also voiced by her.
