For the first day in New York City, Mets second baseman Jeff McNeil selects the right Taylor Swift walkup song

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 29, 2024
Jeff McNeil, the Mets' second baseman, chose the right walk-up song to begin the new MLB season in New York City. The Mets kicked off their 2024 season against the Milwaukee Twins at Citi Field in Queens on Friday, after rain postponed their opening day. McNeil revealed he was a Swiftie when he walked up to his first at-bat to the infamous song from Taylor Swift's album, '1989,' in front of the home crowd of New Yorkers.

Annika Sorenstam maintains that an LPGA-LET merger will be 'beneficial for everybody,' but LIV Golf for Women has warned that if the ladies' tournament becomes too crowded, it will be too crowded.'

Annika Sorenstam may have lost her touch on the golf course 16 years after stepping away from the LPGA, but she is also a voice of authority on the women's game. At the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, the LPGA's tournament that sees the tour's winners from the previous two seasons compete in stroke play, Sorenstam, possibly the best female golfer in history, while A-List stars of sport and entertainment face off in their own Stableford competition. The 53-year-old, who retired from professional golf in 2008, posted an incredible 40 points in the first round and appeared somewhat shocked by her own first round, telling DailyMail.com that she doesn't have a lot of rounds free of "silly mistakes" these days. However, Sorenstam, a 72-year member of the LPGA, may not be able to produce the same game that won her 10 majors and began with the pros, but she did have that competitive edge in finishing second, two points behind champion Mets star Jeff McNeil, and, more importantly, she cares about the state of the women's game.

Lydia Koes, 2023, has a success at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, but Annika Sorenstam is edging out by Mets star Jeff McNeil for her 20th LPGA victory

ISABEL BALDWIN AT LAKE NONA GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB: The light at the end of the tunnel finally shone over Lake Nona Golf and Country Club as she came to an end to her trophy drought at the LPGA Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions on Sunday. Kobe had a trying 2023, struggling to win on the tour for over a year, but this year is expected to be a lot different one as she claimed her 20th LPGA victory. With a two-shot victory over Alexa Pano, the New Zealander re-entered the winner's circle at her home course of Lake Nona in Orlando, Florida. Annika Sorenstam, who is competing in the tournament's Stableford celebrity division, fell agonizingly short once more.
