A Florida judge has officially dismissed the government's proposal to hold the entire Mar-a-Lago affidavit under contract

www.dailymail.co.uk, August 22, 2022
The federal judge who was investigating the attempt to unseal the document that fueled the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago announced an order Monday to deny the government's attempt to keep the entire document under seal and declared his willingness to reveal at least some of the facts publicly. Judge Bruce Reinhart of the Federal Magistrate has disapproved the government's argument that 'the current record justifies keeping the entire Affidavit under seal.' The judge instead advocates for 'narrowly tailoring' what is made public and looking for the 'least onerous alternatives', a position that might lead to new details about the government's probe within days. It came in an order in which the judge - who refused to sign off on the FBI's search warrant for portions of the former president's home and golf club - said there is a'strong likelihood' that unsealing it would cause it to impede the ongoing probe by obstruction of justice and witness coercion or reprisal.' It's also predicted that it'll compromise legitimate privacy interests by openly revealing the identity of the accused as well as providing evidence that could be used to identify witnesses.' Last week, the judge postponed a final decision and told the government that redactions had been requested to the paper.
