Jarret Lee Stoll (born June 24, 1982) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player.
Stoll has played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers and Minnesota Wild. He is a two-time Stanley Cup champion, winning with Los Angeles in 2012 and 2014.
Personal life
From 2006 to 2011, Stoll hosted his annual charity golf tournament in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, which benefits the Jarret Stoll Comfort Fund.

Playing career
Stoll played in Saskatchewan in junior hockey. He started in Neudorf and then moved to minor hockey in Melville, then on to Yorkton, Saskatchewan. Stoll helped the Yorkton Bantam AAA Terriers win the Western Canadian Championship in 1997. Stoll attended St. Paul's Elementary School and Sacred Heart High School while in Yorkton. Kelly, his older brother, who competed for the Yorkton Terriers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL), and a younger sister Ashley, who competed with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies' women's hockey team, are both siblings.
Stoll played for the Saskatchewan Midget Triple A Hockey League after winning the bantam championship. Stoll attended St. Joseph High School in Saskatoon. Stoll was the first overall pick of the 1997 WHL Bantam Draft by the Edmonton Ice prior to joining the Edmonton Ice.
Stoll began his Western Hockey League (WHL) career with the Ice in 1997-98, when the Ice were still based in Edmonton. The team relocated to Cranbrook, British Columbia, and was renamed the Kootenay Ice after this season. He spent his entire junior career with the Ice company. He was named team captain in his third season. Stoll captained the Ice to a Memorial Cup championship in his last junior season (2001–2002).
Stoll went through the NHL draft process twice while playing in Kootenay. In his first year of eligibility, he was picked by the Calgary Flames 46th overall in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, but was unable to familiarize with the team. The Flames arranged a trade to the Toronto Maple Leafs, who wished to have a contract signed by the desired date, but the Flames' fax to NHL headquarters didn't make it on time. Stoll was recalled in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, where he was ranked by the Edmonton Oilers 36th overall, where he was selected by the Edmonton Oilers 36th overall.
Stoll also represented his country at the World Junior Hockey Championships in 2001 and 2002, winning bronze and silver medals respectively. Stoll was appointed captain of Team Canada in 2002.
Stoll played for the Oilers in Kootenay and suited up for the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2002-03. During the season, he earned his first call up to the Oilers and played in his first four NHL games, registering an assist as his first career appearance. He skated with the Oilers full-time from 2003 to 2004. Stoll returned to the AHL to compete with the Edmonton Roadrunners during the lockout season of 2004-05.
Stoll played for the Oilers from 2005 to 2006. Stoll set a record by defeating 21 of 22 faceoffs (95.45%) taken during a game against the Vancouver Canucks on February 4, 2006. Stoll's first Stanley Cup playoff appearance was highlighted by his game-winning goal in overtime against the Detroit Red Wings in overtime. Stoll was named one of the Oilers alternate captains for the team's road games in 2007-08.

Stoll was crowned with the Los Angeles Kings on June 11, 2012, his first Stanley Cup championship in the franchise's history, against the New Jersey Devils. Subsequently, he agreed to remain with the Kings on June 25 for a three-year, $9.75 million deal. In Game 5 against the New York Rangers, Stoll won his second Stanley Cup with the Kings on June 13, 2014.
Stoll joined the New York Rangers as a free agent on August 10, 2015. On opening night of the 2015–16 season, Stoll made his debut with the Rangers as the team's fourth line center. The Chicago Blackhawks defeated the defending Stanley Cup champions in 3–2 victory on October 7, 2015. Stoll was suspended by the Rangers after 29 games with the Rangers and playing with just one goal and three points. He was granted waivers by the Minnesota Wild on December 15, 2015.
Stoll, a free agent for the Wild at the end of the season, was unable to sign an NHL deal, opting to commit to a professional try-out deal ("PTO") to attend the Columbus Blue Jackets' training camp on August 30, 2016. However, he was banned from his PTO on October 5, 2016. Despite the fact that Stoll never officially announced his retirement, he put an end to his playing career by taking a job as a talent scout for the Los Angeles Kings on December 15, 2016.
