Janet Elizabeth Burston (January 11, 1935 – March 3, 1998), the American child actress who was the last leading lady in the Our Gang short story collection, succeeded Darla Hood in 1942.
Career
Burston began acting in the We Gang film All About Hash as a background child in 1940 at age five. Burston stayed as a background character for two years before naming Darla Hood as the leading lady in 1941. She remained with the clan until the series's end in 1944. She appeared in a few outside films as well, before deciding to become a housewife in the late 1940s.
Janet Burston married four times in her lifetime. She remained low-profile after her release from acting and attended only few Our Gang reunions.
