Early life
Duggar was born in Tontitown, Arkansas, with her twin brother John-David, as the first pair of twins in the family, and she is Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Ruark's second child and first granddaughter. The parents had a total of 19 children, ten boys, and nine girls when they were married. As a child, she was homeschooled.
Personal life
Duggar was charged with misdemeanor endangering the wellbeing of a child in 2021. A child strayed outside and was discovered by a passerby who called the police, who was babysitting. When Duggar first entered a "not guilty" plea, she later changed her plea and paid an $880 fine and other fees, avoiding a hearing and potentially lengthy prison time.
Career
Duggar's public life began as a member of a family featured in the documentary "Women's Pregnant Again (2004), which explores family life from the "time they awakened" to the "time they go to sleep." On the Discovery Health Channel, the documentary premiered. When Duggar's sister Johannah was born, another documentary, Raising 16 Children, was also produced on the same channel in 2006. On the Road with 16 Children, a family's journey around the world, was followed by another feature.
19 Kids and Counting (formerly 18 Kids and Counting, and 17 Kids and Counting) debuted as a regular series based on the Duggar family on September 29, 2008. The program lasted until its cancellation in 2015.
