James Reynolds Life

James Reynolds (born August 10, 1946) is an American dramatic actor.

He is best known for his portrayal of Abe Carver on Days of Our Lives, for which he received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2018.

Early life

Reynolds was born in Oskaloosa, Kansas. The subjects he loved the most at Oskaloosa High School (Kansas) were English and history. With a small student body, there were never any extracurricular activities, and, in addition to being involved in several school productions, he became very involved in sports, playing football, basketball, and tracking.

Reynolds joined the Marines after high school graduation. He was sent to the Information Service Office, first stationed in Hawaii, and became a reporter for the Windward Marine, a boot camp veteran. He was sent to Vietnam later and served for nearly a year with a number of units in and around Chu Lai, adding battlefield reporting to his combat duties.

Reynolds, who is returning to the United States, is enrolled in Topeka's Washburn University, majoring in pre-law and journalism. He was advised that the theater department was the best place on campus to meet girls, and he started auditioning and performing in plays. Reynolds experienced another unexpected benefit, discovering a passion for acting alongside his improved social life. He went on to appear not only in standard campus productions of musicals and dramatic plays but also in local theater companies.

Personal life

One of Reynolds' most coveted Kansans is being selected from the Kansas Historical Society's list of famous Kansans, which includes such names as President Dwight Eisenhower, Amelia Earhart, Langston Hughes, Barry Sanders, and several others.

Reynolds has been instrumental in more than 300 fund raising activities in the last ten years, having devoted his time to his charitable causes. He regularly hosts a "bowl-a-thon" in Los Angeles to support the National Asthma Center and a celebrity basketball game in South Pasadena for the city's schools.

On September 30, 1978, he married Laura Toffenetti. On October 27, 1979, they welcomed their son Jed. The couple divorced on July 19, 1984, after four years of marriage. Reynolds married Lissa Layng on December 21, 1985, his second wife.

Reynolds is ranked in Who's Who in Entertainment, Who's Who in Business, Who's Who, Who's Who, Who's Who, Who's Who, Who's Who in Entertainment, Who's Who Among African-Americans, Who's Who Does Who, Who's Who in Company, Who's Who Among African-Americans, Who's Who Among African-Americans, Who's Who in Business, Who's Who In Business, Who's Who's Reynolds is'Who' Who' Who' Who' Who' Who's Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who's Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Among African-Who's Who Is Who Among African-Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who's Who Is Who's Who Is Who Is Who's Who Is Who Is Who's Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who Is Who?
