Samantha Cedillo served as a nonclinical program manager at the Omaha Correctional Center beginning in June 2021. Cedillo, 31, was arrested in 2023 with first-degree sexual assault of an inmate, which can result in up to 20 years in prison. The allegations came after the jail employee had an inappropriate relationship with an inmate serving time for murder, resulting in her becoming pregnant with his child. Cedillo was found in a friendship with a library clerk in November 2021, a 47-year-old man serving a life term for murder.
