Huge 50ft trees are blocking sunshine from our homes and making locals' lives a misery - now we're worried they'll put off prospective buyers

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 25, 2024
The 50ft hybrid black poplar trees in Sunset Drive, Sittingbourne, are said to restrict natural light while locals say they have been slipping and injuring themselves due to fallen leaves. Some felled trees have even done damage to properties in the past - and homeowners say they've been warned the darkness could make it more difficult to sell their homes. They have also accused Swale Borough Council of failing to take effective action despite years of complaints from people living in the area where some homes have sold in the past for half a million pounds. Julie Roalf, 59, who lives on Sunset Drive, told of how the problems had got significantly worse in recent years.

She's no prude, but when our US Editor visited the polo club where Harry's filming his new Netflix show, she was shocked by what she saw... Women who had just been showing me their wedding rings began shedding their inhibitions as quickly as their clothin

As Prince Harry embraced his wife after winning a charity polo match in Florida on Friday he had more than one reason to celebrate. Less than 24 hours earlier, the Sussexes unveiled two new projects for streaming giant Netflix - a 'cooking and lifestyle' show for Meghan and, most intriguingly, a series about polo hosted by Harry which, it was claimed, 'will provide viewers with unprecedented access to the world of professional polo'. A statement released by Archewell Productions - the company set up by the couple in 2020 after they quit as senior royals and signed a reported £80 million five-year deal with Netflix - declared: 'Known primarily for its aesthetic and social scene, the series will pull the curtain back on the grit and passion of the sport, capturing players and all it takes to compete at the highest level.'

In an unprovoked attack on the deliveryoo driver, stabbed him with a kitchen knife while attempting to steal his bike, a terrifying moment when police arrive

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 28, 2024
A cyclist was pushed off his bike by a knife-wielding robber before stabbing him in broad daylight. Lewis Livingstone, 28, was waiting in Enfield, north London, while cycling past a bus stop. Livingstone, 19, (inset), leapt into the road and yelled the guy off his bike before grabbing a large knife and chasing him away. As he attempted to flee with the bike, the cyclist adroitly returned to face the robber. However, when Livingstone opened an attack, he was stabbed in the abdomen and then cut on his hands. Livingstone retrieved his knife and stabbed the victim in the abdomen in front of terrified onlookers around 4.30 p.m. on July 1 last year.

The 1979 Ferrari 312 T4 is being offered by the South African 'unsung hero of F1' in a true once-in-a-lifetime challenge for an F1 enthusiast with deep pockets to purchase a championship car direct from the pilot by RM Sotheby's Monaco auction.

Gen Z, the desire to survive and the rise of alcohol-free beer... why the next generation of F1 enthusiasts could not be further away from James Hunt's time as a drinker and drug-fueled days

www.dailymail.co.uk, November 22, 2023
James Hunt is the Formula One champion. He is perhaps best known for his playboy lifestyle, the alcohol and drugs he consumed, as well as his tragic death from a heart attack at 45. There are famous tales of him consuming a British Airways jet dry on the way home from winning the 1976 world championship in Japan - as well as further details of how he slept with 33 of their air hostesses during his two-week stay in Tokyo. He 'drunk himself silly' after the races, and he'd been accused of downing two bottles of wine while live in the commentary booth on his first day.

Niki Lauda and James Hunt's bleating about the heat... an elite sport is supposed to be brutal

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 12, 2023
JONATHAN McEVOY - POLE POSITION: Following stifling weather at last weekend's Qatar Grand Prix, it seemed to me that several observers were surprised to learn that grand prix racing is a difficult endeavor. And Brutal. An investigation of the human body. It's an old trick, but let's see 'Papa' Hemingway' at this point. The bearded sage declared, before blowing his brains out, that there are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; the rest are simply games.' 'They'll deny it forever,' they say, but the reason people come here to watch is to see if one of us dies,' says James Hunt.'

In the biopic Rush, James Hunt, the son of Formula One champion James Hunt slams Chris Hemsworth's portrayal of his father

www.dailymail.co.uk, July 4, 2023
In the film Rush, Formula One champion James Hunt's son slammed Australian actor Chris Hemsworth's portrayal of his father. In the 2013 film about the rivalry between the race car racer and Niki Lauda, Chris played James. He wasn't impressed with how the actor portrayed his father in the film, according to Freddie on the Pitstop Podcast.

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Why money can't buy love for the king of the tragic hedge fund who has a fortune of '£800 million'

www.dailymail.co.uk, June 16, 2023
EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: He has all the riches one could want, including a private island off the coast of Scotland's north-west coast, which is now being turned into what is hoped to be a "global destination," six years after he snapped it up for £1.7 million, little more than loose change to someone with a reputed £800 million fortune. However, hedge fund king Ian Wace, co-founder of Marshall Wace, who reported out £723 million among its 23 partners in the last financial year alone, knows that money can't buy happiness. As if to prove the point, the 60-year-old has only separated from his third wife, willowy beauty Saffron Aldridge, 55, a friend of both the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex, as if to illustrate. A friend informs me, 'The marriage is over.' It's sad, but the good thing is that they're still close.' In fact, Wace was prominently present when Saffron's son, Milo, who had been romantically linked with Old Harrovian talent agent and novelist Simon Astaire, married on the French Riviera two weeks ago. The chum says, 'Ian came to the wedding and gave a moving address.'

POLE POSITION: Red Bull will win every race, according to Verstappen, and Perez can buy pieces

www.dailymail.co.uk, June 15, 2023
POLE OPTION: Although never denying Formula One's knack for springing surprises, conjuring a tale or a disaster, or even a death may have sparked rumors, the powers that be may as well give out the awards to Max Verstappen and Red Bull right now. So poor is the opposition that if Verstappen sits out the next eight or nine races before returning to a frantic attempt to cut the deficit. If there is one. Consider Niki Lauda's enforced absence (under unforeseen circumstances, wished on nobody) in the 1976 championship battle against James Hunt. However, dreaming aside, the only thing that remains is if Red Bull will win every race this season.

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Why lothario James Hunt's boy Freddie stays 'on the leash'

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 26, 2022
JACK TEAGUE: Being the son of F1 legend James Hunt may have enriched life, but fellow racing driver Freddie Hunt admits that living in his famous father's shadow hasn't always been convenient. I was overwhelmed at the beginning of my career as compared to my father, and it caused significant problems with my mental health,' Freddie, 35, tells me at the premiere of his film Hunt vs. Lauda: The Next Generation at Soho's Ham Yard hotel.' Hunt senior was thought to have slept with up to 5,000 people, but Freddie has pledged his allegiance to his entrepreneur girlfriend Aimee Watts. And the man who recently joined Amazon's Car And Country: Rush as a host does warn sportsmen with a bevy of women admirers to be cautious,' because keeping yourself on the leash is the tough part.'
