James Curtis DeBarge (born August 22, 1963) is an American R&B/soul musician.
DeBarge was one of the founding members of the singing family vocal group DeBarge, who rose to fame with their late 1980s songs "All This Love," "Mate Me in a Special Way," and "Who's Holding Donna Now" among others.
Personal life
DeBarge is also known for his 1984 marriage to pop singer Janet Jackson. In 1985, the marriage was called off due to his addiction to pain killers and sleeping pills. They lived in Hayvenhurst, Jackson, during their marriage. DeBarge revealed on Growing Up Hip-Hop that he and Jackson have a daughter. "They say the child's in Europe or that one of my brothers or sisters is raising it," Jackson told Vibe magazine in 2001. Well, I haven't had a child."

Early life and career
He is Robert DeBarge Sr. and Etterlene Abney DeBarge's seventh child. He was born and raised on Detroit's East Side, Michigan, like all of his siblings. The family was later moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan. DeBarge has performed on "Tha Divorce Song" and "Get Nekkid" by slain rapper Mausberg as of 2000. Also, in 2004, DeBarge released "Nothing's Wrong" as the soundtrack to Quik/Debarge's "Tha Divorce Song"; and "Haitian Sensation" Won-G's "Nothing's Wrong" Won-G's remix called "Nothing's Wrong." In 2006, Debarge made a small guest appearance on the album 818 Antics, by rapper J-Ro, who is a member of the rap group Tha Liks.
DeBarge, James, Mark, Randy, nephew Andrew (bass player), and an unknown niece are among DeBarge's on tour.
