Dr. John Hinckley Jr., who shot Ronald Reagan in a failed assassination attempt, has claimed to have been a victim of 'cancell culture.' Hinckley, 68, spent decades in a mental hospital after pleading insanity for gunning down the president in 1981 in a bizarre attempt to impress actress Jodie Foster. A police officer, a classified service member, and Reagan's Press Secretary James Brady were among those wounded in the shooting, who died as a result of his injuries. Hinckley embarked on a music career after a federal judge granted him unconditional exemption from court limitations in June 2022.

In a conversation with Piers Morgan on Monday, John Hinckley Jr said he was responsible for the death of former White House Press Secretary James Brady, right. Hinckley opened fire on then-President Ronald Reagan on March 30, 1981, knocking him within an inch of his heart and practically killing him. Brady was also struck in the head, leaving him paralyzed. Brady died on August 4, 2014 at the age of 73, with a medical examiner finding he died as a result of the head injury he suffered 33 years ago.

On Saturday, James Brady, 34, and Patricia Gora, 29, watched in terror as their two-year-old female miniature Jack Russell, Maple (inset), convulsed after a walk near Andover, Hampshire, and collapsed. The couple (pictured right, with Maple) described Maple as 'foaming at the mouth' minutes after inhaling water at the beauty spot where another dog died in April. They rushed Maple to the nearest hospital, but they were unable to save her and said she had possibly ingested a toxin in the lake. At the lake, the couple were unaware that an investigation into 'blue- algae' was underway by Test Valley Borough Council (TVBC). In strangely similar circumstances at the lake, Jordan Shearman, 24, and nursery employee Hannah Washington, 23, died of their one-year-old Cocker Spaniel puppy, Roo.
