The Renters' Amendment Bill will now include amendments to avoid landlord terminations in the first six months, as well as delays to no-fault evictions being banned. Hundreds of Tory backbenchers had been planning to protest against the law on the grounds that it would prejudice landlords and exacerbate the shortage of private rented accommodation by pushing them out of the market. In a letter to Conservative MPs, Levelling Up Minister Jacob Young acknowledged that 'colleagues and constituents have been concerned about some of our changes' and that the landlord sector needs to be 'certainty.'

Jacob Young, 5, earned the top mark this year after his parent's warning of his obsession with WWII-era airplanes. The child then passed with flying colors after a doctor administered an intelligence exam. His father and mother, along with an intelligence officer with the Space Force and a former data analyst, were then advised to contact a prestigious high-IQ group, with Mensa emerging as a candidate. The pair obliged, and they now sing songs of praise for their precocious progeny. During an interview this past Monday, he proudly displayed his mailed-in Mensa card, as parents are worried about his success - and now-known wisdom.

Conor Burns, the deposed minister of New Jersey, is expected to be cleared of suspected conference 'grope'

www.dailymail.co.uk, November 12, 2022
After a witness told Conor Burns that he touched a young man's thigh at Birmingham's Hyatt Regency hotel bar, he quit his work as a Trade Minister and was barred as a Tory MP. However, the Mail on Sunday learns that former Party Chairman Jake Berry ruled there was no reason for Mr Burns to answer because the 'victim' had not complained. The allegation is likely to fuel suspicions that party leaders have been too tethered in cases of suspected sexual misconduct, contributing to the public naming and shaming of suspected criminals before their innocence has been established.
