[O.S.] Jaan Poska VR III/1 (O.S.) 1866: Laiusevölja, Kreis Dorpat, Governor of Livonia – 10 January 1920, Tallinn, Estonia) was an Estonian barrister and politician. Poska graduated from the University of Tartu's Faculty of Law in 1890, and after that he served as a barrister in Tallinn.

Early life
Poska was born in Riga and received his secondary education at the Orthodox church's academy. He went to medicine school at the University of Tartu, but then moved to law, where he graduated in 1890. Poska was the first ethnic Estonian to enter the bar in Tallinn, where he served as barrister.
Career
