More than 6,200 non-ticket holders joined the queue in a bid to get a glimpse of the action today as Serbia's Djokovic defends his title against Argentina's 67th-ranked Pedro Cachin. Tennis fans lined up in Wimbledon Park this morning were already grabbing their queue cards as they attempted to snag coveted on-the-day tickets to the world's most coveted tournament. And one group was even more prepared for the inevitable long wait by bringing a plush pink sofa to relax on. To top it off, the well-seasoned queuers had strawberries and cream to snack on.
