Matthew Moulding, the co-founder and chief executive of THG, has sold the 'unique' stake, which allowed him to veto any hostile takeover bid. Moulding's decision to renounce his "golden share" would help alleviate investor concerns regarding company governance. The stock will be cancelled by the corporation. The decision comes two years after Moulding promised to delete his'special share' ahead of the company's annual general meeting today.
